IndiGo and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have forged a landmark partnership through a year-long Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to position Singapore as the top travel destination for both leisure and business travelers from India. This historic collaboration will leverage IndiGo’s extensive flight network to enhance travel connectivity and boost tourism between the two regions, making Singapore a prime destination for Indian tourists.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and IndiGo, India’s leading airline, have entered into a groundbreaking year-long Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at positioning Singapore as a premier destination for both leisure and business travellers from India. This partnership, which marks STB’s first MoU with an Indian airline and IndiGo’s first with a national tourism board, is set to enhance travel connectivity and promote Singapore across India through IndiGo’s vast flight network.

India’s Vital Role in Singapore’s Tourism Boom

India continues to be one of the top three sources of international visitors to Singapore, building on its strong performance in 2024. By mid-2025, Indian arrivals to Singapore surpassed 500,000, driven largely by robust air connections. Changi Airport, Southeast Asia’s most connected airport, offers over 270 weekly flights to 15 Indian cities, ensuring Indian travellers have seamless access to the city-state. IndiGo has been pivotal in strengthening this connectivity, with Singapore consistently ranking among the airline’s top three international destinations. To mark 60 years of India-Singapore diplomatic relations, IndiGo will introduce its IndiGoStretch business service on flights between Singapore, Delhi, and Mumbai, starting 09 August 2025, in celebration of Singapore’s National Day. This expansion is designed to cater to the growing demand for flights between the two countries, with IndiGo operating flights from 9 Indian cities and providing convenient connections to its wider network.

A Strategic Partnership for Today’s Dynamic Traveller

As a destination, Singapore is undergoing a transformation to meet the changing preferences of today’s well-travelled and digitally connected tourist. Building on the success of the “Untold Singapore” campaign launched earlier this year, the renewed partnership will continue to highlight the city-state’s lesser-known attractions, while also spotlighting its iconic landmarks.

The year-long campaign will combine enticing travel offers, co-branded content, influencer collaborations, and creative advertising strategies to engage prospective travellers before they even book their trips. Beyond consumer-facing initiatives, the collaboration will also focus on expanding trade outreach through roadshows, training programs for travel agents, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) benefits, and curated familiarisation tours for industry professionals. Through shared data and insights, both organisations will work together to develop precision-targeted marketing strategies that speak directly to the desires and travel aspirations of Indian tourists.

As we celebrate 60 years of India-Singapore diplomatic relations in 2025, our expanded collaboration with IndiGo and the launch of the year-long ‘Untold Singapore’ campaign positions us to harness the potential of India’s dynamic travel market. By leveraging IndiGo’s extensive network and Singapore’s diverse offerings, we are poised to capture the growing demand for unique and meaningful travel experiences among Indian visitors. This partnership will inspire both first-time and returning Indian visitors, further strengthening the enduring tourism ties between our nations.” said Ms. Melissa Ow, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board.

IndiGo and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) have signed a groundbreaking year-long MoU aimed at promoting Singapore as the premier destination for Indian leisure and business travelers. The partnership, marking STB’s first collaboration with an Indian airline, will strengthen travel links and amplify tourism by tapping into IndiGo’s extensive network. This historic deal is set to boost Singapore’s appeal among Indian visitors.

Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said, “Given the strong cultural, commercial, and strategic ties between India and Singapore, there is great demand for existing connectivity between the two countries and potential for more. We are delighted to partner with Singapore Tourism Board to boost tourism and travel between the two countries. With flights from 9 destinations and seamless connections across our network, we are well positioned to cater to growing demand on these routes. With our recent introduction of IndiGoStretch, tailor made business class product to Singapore, we are even more confident that our customers will enjoy the premium travel experience to this vibrant destination.”
