Delta, Joins American, Allegiant, Breeze, and Frontier Offer New Routes and Flights: Here’s What You Need To Know Before Planning a Trip in 2025

As 2025 nears, U.S. airlines are expanding their offerings including new routes in both the domestic and international markets. With the increase in routes, passengers will now have more choices for their travels. From Delta’s redevised winter schedules to the return of smaller places in Frontier’s network, here’s a guide to the next changes and what travelers can expect through the end of the year.
Delta Air Lines Plans Second-Schedule Update with More Flights
Delta Air Lines is slashing its winter schedule in a big way. Instead of initially starting with more than a handful of weekly flights from New York(JFK) to Memphis(MEM) and St. Louis(STL), the airline will now enter each of those markets with daily service to Sarasota, Florida (SRQ) instead. The new route will launch on December 20 and be available until 6 May 2026. The new service is also one of Delta’s continuing strategies to offer more of the Florida destinations that people are demanding, especially during the colder months.
To round it out, Delta is also adding non-stop flights, like flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Fargo (FAR) and from Austin (AUS) to Los Cabos (SJD). Even more thrilling are new routes which will link Minneapolis (MSP) with Vail (EGE). And, beginning in December, Salt Lake City (SLC), will see its first non-stop service to Lima, Peru (LIM) for those looking to escape the country.
American Airlines Boosts Long-Haul Service
American Airlines grows long-haul offering with a raft of route launches in the Autumn and Winter 2025 schedule. The airline is entreating service between Dallas (DFW) and Kona (KOA) effective November 20. American is also boosting its service to Brazil, add three more weekly flights between Dallas and Sao Paulo (GRU) starting Dec. 3. Additionally, Miami to Buenos Aires (EZE) will get an additional fourth daily flight as of Dec. 18.
For people making travel plans to Europe, American is continuing its Dallas to Dublin (DUB) seasonal flights, currently available through early January 2026, in place of ending in October. The roll-outs are an indication of the carrier’s dedication to provide its flyers with additional flight options, particularly to international hotspots.
Allegiant Air Adds New Routes for Fall 2025
Allegiant Air has a few new non-stop offerings taking off this fall. As of November 13, travelers will be able to fly from Lehigh Valley (ABE) to Fort Myers (RSW). On Nov. 21, Allegiant will also link Appleton International Airport (ATW) and Fort Myers non-stop, and Des Moines (DSM) and Fort Myers non-stop. This growth is also designed to provide options for the snowbirds and visitors coming to enjoy Florida’s beautiful shoreline when temperatures begin to drop around the country.
These flights should be a home-run for those wanting to take a break on Florida’s gulf coast, as Allegiant costs are so low they are a real deal for those planning getaways from the Midwest and the Northeast.
Breeze Airways Adds New Cities To Its Ranks
Budget point-to-point carrier Breeze Airways is expanding and this week added Lincoln, Nebraska (LNK) and Tri-Cities, Tennessee (TRI) to its growing network. Breeze will begin operating non-stop flights from Albany, New York (ALB) to Fort Myers, Florida (RSW) on December 17, and from Lincoln (LNK) to Orlando (MCO) starting on December 10. Also, new service from Albany to Rochester (ROC) will also begin on January 8, 2026.
In the weeks ahead, Breeze, will announce more new routes for next year – as previously disclosed, additional Breeze service will be offered from Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT) and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (MYR), with service to Portsmouth, New Hampshire (PSM) and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU) also being added.
Aviation Frontier Airlines Lands in Corpus Christi and Richmond The low-cost carrier returns to the Texas city where it began and remains in growth mode.
Budget carrier Frontier Airlines will also grow its network, adding new destinations to Corpus Christi (CRP), Texas, and Richmond (RIC), Virginia, this fall. On Oct. 9, Frontier launches twice-weekly flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Omaha (OMA) and Richmond (RIC). In addition, Charleston (CHS) to Dallas (DFW) will be twice weekly effective Oct. 9 and flights from Corpus Christi to Denver (DEN) will start on the same day.
These new routes support Frontier’s focus of offering low fares between cities that are under served by other airlines.
How the Expansions Will Impact Travelers
The airlines’ broader selection of routes will provide travelers with more options than ever when traveling to new and favorite destinations. With Delta’s pivot to Florida and American’s international growth, Allegiant’s new Florida links and Breeze’s expanded city coverage, travelers have much more flexibility in plotting their flights.
These steps also come as airlines are still adjusting to post-pandemic travel needs. Nowadays an increasing number of travelers are opting for a more direct way to popular leisure sites, especially during peak travel seasons, such as winter holidays and summer or winter vacations.
Budget travelers can also take advantage of Frontier and Allegiant, cheap airlines that provide a range of affordable flights, especially to sunny destinations like Florida.
