Air India Express has secured a place among India’s four fastest-rising brands in the October 2026 YouGov BrandIndex rankings, highlighting an improvement in public perception and growing passenger confidence in the airline. The latest assessment, which monitors consumer sentiment towards more than 500 brands across India, reflects the carrier’s strengthening market presence and positive brand performance.

The monthly YouGov BrandIndex rankings recognise brands that demonstrate the strongest improvements across important consumer perception indicators. Air India Express recorded positive growth in five key categories: Buzz, Reputation, Recommend, Consideration and Current Customer, signalling encouraging progress in brand awareness, customer trust and consumer engagement.

Air India Express has earned this recognition at a time when it is actively enhancing its passenger services through wider route connectivity, the introduction of modern aircraft and continued improvements in the overall travel experience. The airline has reported a notable increase in its Net Promoter Score (NPS), indicating stronger passenger satisfaction and a greater willingness among travellers to recommend its services. Its fleet transformation has also gathered pace, with newly manufactured aircraft now accounting for more than two-thirds of its total fleet.

The carrier continues to showcase India’s cultural heritage through innovative onboard offerings and distinctive branding initiatives. Its Tales of India programme features aircraft tail designs inspired by the country’s diverse artistic traditions, while Gourmair, its specially developed inflight dining concept, introduces passengers to flavours influenced by Indian cuisine. Together, these initiatives help Air India Express establish a recognisable brand identity while bringing elements of India’s regional culture into the passenger journey.

The latest recognition for Air India Express comes at a significant stage in the airline’s growth, coinciding with the launch of its largest winter flight schedule to date on 25 October 2026. The expanded operational programme represents an important development in the carrier’s efforts to strengthen its presence across domestic and international aviation markets. By increasing flight frequencies and extending its network reach, Air India Express aims to accommodate growing passenger demand while providing more convenient travel opportunities. The winter schedule also reflects the airline’s broader strategy of improving regional accessibility, expanding route choices and supporting seamless air connectivity between major cities and emerging travel destinations.

As part of the ambitious winter expansion, Air India Express plans to progressively increase its operations to approximately 585 daily flights, creating a more extensive network for passengers travelling within India and overseas. The proposed schedule includes around 435 domestic departures each day, alongside up to 150 international departures. This substantial operational capacity is expected to provide travellers with greater flexibility when selecting departure times, planning connecting journeys and organising business or leisure trips. The increased domestic flight availability will also help strengthen links between important commercial centres, tourism destinations and regional airports, contributing to improved travel accessibility across the country.

The airline’s international expansion will place particular emphasis on strengthening air links between India and destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia and West Asia. These regions represent important markets for tourism, business travel, family visits and other forms of international passenger movement. Through its enlarged winter network, Air India Express intends to offer more convenient travel options for passengers flying between Indian cities and key overseas destinations. Additional flight frequencies and broader route availability could also support tourism exchanges, facilitate cross-border travel and improve connectivity for travellers seeking efficient regional air services. The expanded international operations further underline the carrier’s commitment to developing a stronger presence in strategically important aviation markets.

Supporting this extensive winter programme is a growing fleet of more than 105 aircraft, providing the operational foundation for the airline’s planned increase in daily services. The larger fleet enables Air India Express to expand its flying capacity while working towards greater network efficiency and improved passenger convenience. For travellers, the winter schedule promises a wider selection of flights, more opportunities to plan journeys around preferred travel dates and improved access to domestic and international destinations. As the airline progressively introduces additional services, its expanded network is positioned to strengthen India’s regional aviation connectivity while supporting the evolving requirements of leisure travellers, corporate passengers and people visiting friends and relatives.
